To clear the air – I came out of the fight on Saturday without any injuries and looking to compete on the Halifax card in February if possible. The ref did a great job, Matthew is a tough kid coming back from those shots is amazing!!! As for me, I’ll continue to grow and get better!

Coming off a two year lay off showed a bit of ring rust. I convinced myself it wasn’t going to affect my performance but I feel that it did. After trying to finish him I was done and I had nothing left. I don’t even feel like my cardio was to blame. I felt flat and exhausted, maybe it was an adrenaline dump. Or maybe not breathing for a minute trying to finish him was the cause. The only thing I will do is learn, get back in there, and go again! Thanks to everyone that has been supportive during my journey back to the octagon. 2 years is a long time. I had to over come big obstacles to get back to where I am and although I didn’t get the result I was looking for, i am happy to be back and healthy. I had a fun fight week with friends, family, coachs and fans.
